Sunset Park Playground Donation Campaign

The Village of Kimberly has approved over $200,000 to purchase new playground equipment in 2026 for Sunset Park. This is in replacement of equipment that has reached well past its lifespan in an area of Sunset Park that is directly adjacent to the Shelter #1 & #2 area and the scenic overlook. The playground equipment is scheduled to be installed in Spring of 2026 with poured in place surfacing making the entire playground accessible to people of all abilities. The new playground includes four different slides, swings for people of all abilities, three spinning elements, and a climbing area. 

The Village is soliciting for donations to support site amenities like bike racks, benches, picnic tables, trees, and a drinking fountain. All donations will be acknowledged with a plaque either on the amenity or within sight of the playground.
