Municipal Services Center Project

In 2022, the Village of Kimberly contracted with SEH to complete a facility analysis of the Street and Parks Department building located at 426 W. Kimberly Avenue.  The results of this study indicated that the current building has exceeded it’s useful life. Significant repairs would be needed to maintain the building and bring the structure into code compliance.  As a result, the village board voted in favor of designing and implementing a new facility.

In 2023, SEH was selected as the architectural firm for the design and construction management of a new Street and Parks Department Facility. Village staff, in coordination with SEH have been collaborating to design a new facility to be constructed within the same campus as the current building.

The initial building design was presented in a public meeting of the Village board in August, 2023. That presentation is located here

Street and Parks customer service operations are temporarily relocated in the Municipal Complex at 515 W. Kimberly Avenue as of 12/4/23. Demolition and construction of the new facility began in 2024 with an estimated completion timeline of late November 2025.  Administrative staff can still be contacted via email at streets@vokimberlywi.gov or by calling 920-788-7507.

The Village Plan Commission conducted a site review process, documents can be viewed here.

The old building was demolished in fall of 2024 with excavation and footings in progress as of late 2024/early 2025.  The project has been actively progressing throughout 2025, and we are excited to report it is nearly completed!

The new Kimberly Municipal Services Center will be opening in mid-to-late November of 2025. As a reminder all your needs related to Parks, Recreation, Street Services, Building Permit and Planning efforts will be moved back to the new facility located at 426 W. Kimberly Avenue.
A very special thank you to the public and our elected officials for their support and understanding while we reconstructed this very important facility. The Village’s yard waste site, waste oil drop off, metal containers will once again be found at the entrance located off Maes Avenue. The new site offers easier access and greater security measures. Please pay attention to signage indicating proper use of the site and we welcome you to visit the facility! Save the date for December 15th, 2025, for the Municipal Services Center Open House.  The open house will be held from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m., all are welcome.
