Sunset Park is Kimberly’s crown jewel—serving generations of residents across youth sports, community events, family gatherings, and quiet riverfront recreation. However, decades of high use mean many of our core facilities, utility systems, and concession structures have reached the end of their functional lifespan and face critical code and safety issues. Rather than relying on costly, short-term repairs, the Village is developing a comprehensive Master Plan to guide long-term improvements over the next 5 to 20 years. The concept plans currently under discussion serve as a flexible roadmap to help evaluate community priorities, explore grant opportunities, and phase future projects responsibly without placing an immediate burden on local taxpayers. Sunset Park belongs to our entire community, and public feedback will directly shape how we preserve and enhance this cherished park for generations to come.
